Toronto, ON – The Canadian Amateur Brewers Association (CABA) this week announced details for the 2014 Great Canadian Homebrew Competition, returning for the first time since 2011.
The competition is open to any beer brewed in Canada in an amateur fashion as defined as, “beer brewed at home (BAH), or made at a commercial brewonpremise (BOP) establishment.” Beers fitting any of the established BJCP style guidelines are eligible for entry.
Entries – due by Thursday, May 22, 2014 – are $6 each for CABA members, or $7 for non-members. Judging will occur between May 9 – June 8, 2014 by BJCP-certified judges.
Awards for the top three in each beer category, as well as Best of Show, will be presented at the CABA Great Canadian Homebrew Conference on Saturday, June 21 2014 in Toronto at a location to be determined.
