Thanks to an ongoing partnership, Niagara College is offering full-service alpha beta testing to Ontario hop growers for the 2016 season.
All OHGA members are entitled to a 15% discount on the cost of the lab testing services, which will be conducted using official methods of the American Society of Brewing Chemists, through The Canadian Food & Wine Institute Innovation Centre team at its Niagara-on-the-Lake campus.
Under the system, samples are analyzed on Thursdays, provided they are received by the College by 4 p.m. on Wednesday. Results will be sent within 2 business days. More testing days will be allocated during harvest time if there is greater demand.
Growers will be provided with a template for pricing and sample submission. An invoice will be sent by email after the analysis is complete.
