Ontario Hop Growers' Association The OHGA is a not-for-profit association of hop growers, families and enthusiasts who are interested in supporting the growth of the hop industry in Ontario.
Mr. Smith goes to Washington, or in this case Queen’s Park. OHGA has some “facetime” with provincial Agriculture Minister, The Honourable Jeff Leal, on Mon., March 2, 2015 to discuss issues and challenges facing the re-emerging hop industry in Ontario.
As an executive, we have discuss what issues and priorities we would like to put in front of the minister, however if members have any issues or ideas they would like to raise, then please email me at president@ohga.ca and we will add it to our presentation if it is not already there. Our goal is to make sure the Minister is aware of the passion OHGA growers bring to the subject and identify any key challenges and legislative hurdles that we all face as growers.
